The events were few, the celebrities many… Like the film phenomenon, that "The Avengers" was, this week saw a convergence of many well-known faces at the same place, at almost the same time. While Big B, Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, was addressing the media at a press conference after being exonerated from the very prolonged Bofors scam that created many ripples in the country ; Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar, Zoya Akhtar, Nandita Das, Kiran Rao to name a few, graced the CII Seminar on ‘The New Indian Women’ in Lalit Intercontinental, Andheri.
Disney and UTV’s joint production, the mega-movie, "The Avengers" also opens this week and PVR Cinemas, Juhu witnessed the stars of the film industry in abundance gracing the red-carpet premiere. Madhuri Dixit was awarded the "Deenanath Mangeshkar Award" for this year and renowned veteran singer Lata Mageshkar along with Shiv Sena leader, Balasaheb Thackeray were present at the do. Lastly, actor-turned-director Bhagyashree launched her brand’s summer collection which turned out to be a ladies’ day out.
