A vocal concert by “Malladi Brothers”, leading Carnatic classical singers is organised at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Hall, Off Senapti Bapat Road, Pune on Saturday, 11th February, 2012 at 5.30 p.m. The concert is being held under the aegis of Poona Sangeetha Sabha to promote carnatic classical music and culture amongst all ages in the city.
Sreerama Prasad and Ravikumar, popularly known as “Malladi Brothers” hail from a family of musicians. They had their training in classical music from their father Vidwan Malladi Suri Babu a disciple of Legendery Vidwan Sri Voleti Venkateswarlu and had their advanced training from Sangeeta Kalanidhi Sri Nedunuri Krishna Murthy and Sangeeta Kalanidhi Padma Bhushan Dr. Sripada Pinakapani.
“Malladi Brothers” are young, energetic singers and outstanding exponent of carnatic music, the classical music system of Southern India. Their vast repertoire from the compositions, strong presentation in perfect unison, rich and fertile imagination has helped them win a permanent place in the hearts of music lovers all over the world.
The Brothers have been performing in all prestigious music organizations in India and abroad. They are recepients of many honours and awards from many prestigious music organisers in India.
