S.Ve.Shekher is a household name with Tamil connoisseurs, popularly known for his punch, quick wit and humor. His hold over the realm of performing arts since 1974 is commendable. He is also a sound recordist, programme producer, still photographer, videographer, editor and director. He was also the editor for the Tamil Magazine Naradhar. S.Ve. Shekhers Natakhapriya has so far produced 24 stage plays, performed more than 5200 shows on stage and has completed 90 films in Tamil. He was the Regional Chair person of Central Board of Film Censors in Tamil Nadu and has staged plays at all important towns, villages in Tamil Nadu and many state capitals and union territories. On invitation from Tamil population in USA, Canada, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Srilanka, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand and Bangkok he has staged full length plays successfully. He created history by staging full length dramas with all the members of his troupe in United States of America (Bay to East Coast) - a total of 28 shows in 32 days.
