Devotional Discourse -Mangayarkarasi - 7.00 AM
Desa.Mangayarkkarasi, a well-known orator of religious literature in Tamil. Her exposure to Tirukkural began at the tender age of three even before she learnt Tamil. Mangayarkkarasi attributes this to the fact that her mother Bakkiyalakshmi had written the script for the play, Tiruvalluvar as dictated by her father when she had conceived her.

Jayashree Jayaramakrishnan has been learning and performing for the last 17 years. Having started initial learning from her mother, Mrs. Seethalakshmi. Jayashree Jayaramakrishnan further learnt music from Mrs. Muthumeenakshi (Disciple of Musiri Subramania Iyer). Mrs. Jayashree has won several awards.
Violin -Lalitha - Nandhni - 10.30 AM
Dr M. Lalitha and M. Nandini have been widely acclaimed as outstanding South Indian classical violinists of the present generation. Lalitha and Nandini have enthralled the audiences with their spell binding music Dr. M. Lalitha and M. Nandini hail from the Sishya Parampara or the direct lineage of Sri. Baluswamy Diksitar, brother of one of the musical trinity Sri Muthuswamy Dikisitar who was responsible for bringing the violin into the firmament of South Indian classical music and also belong to the Sishya Parampara or the direct lineage of the Trinity - Saint Tyagaraja, Sri Muthuswamy Diksitar and Syama Sastri and Harikesanallur Muthiya Bhagavathar. They also learnt from their mother Smt. Subhalakshmi Muthuswamy.
Bharathanatyam -Tapasyakala Sampradaya - 1.00 PM
Scholars associated with Tapasya will review the salient features of the traditional presentations and discuss their relevance to the current dance scenario. Each demonstration will be followed by discussions in which the audience can participate. A panel discussion with T. Viswanathan, N. Pattabhiraman, B. M. Sundaram, Avanti Meduri, Devesh Soneji and Srividya Natarajan, will give scope for comment and reflection.The Thanjavur/ Pandanallur bani, will be presented by Gurus Subbaraya Pillai, Gopalakrishnan Pillai and K. Chandrasekhar (son of late Guru Kittappa Pillai).
