A musician of Polish origin, Maciej Pikulski was awarded a piano, chamber music and vocal accompaniment diploma at the Paris Superior Conservatory of Music. As a highly successful soloist, he has been invited to perform in Russia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, Poland, Belgium and France (including Radio France Musique, Midem Festival in Cannes and the Chopin Festival in Paris). He also performed with French, Belgian, English and Romanian orchestras. In December 2004, he was chosen by French Chopin Society to perform the piano part in the reconstruction of the last concert that Frederic Chopin made in Paris.
He has also started a career as a vocal accompanist, performing with such great voices as Rene Fleming, Felicity Lott, Udo Reinemann, Maria Baio, among others. Since 1993, he has been the exclusive accompanist of the famous bass-baritone, Jos Van Dam, performing in the world`s most prestigious theatres. He has conducted master classes in Shanghai, Paris, Amsterdam and Strasbourg. He also teaches at the Superior Conservatory of Music of San Sebastian in Spain.
