Nadine Crasto has been learning the piano from Myrna Fernandes since she was just nine. She completed her L.T.
C.L. at the age of 16. Currently preparing for her F.T.C.L in piano performance and B.A. in English literature and Psychology, Crasto has won the first place in the Jazz and Popular Music section of Music Quest 2011 held in Pune. She was also a semi-finalist in the 2010 Con Brio competition.
Crasto teaches music in several schools, and offers private piano lessons. She enjoys playing the guitar as well as accompanying and conducting choirs.
Born in 1991, Meagan Alphonso began her musical studies at the age of 12 with Regina D`Souza. She studied the piano and, later on, the violin. Alphonso obtained the A.T.C.L with distinction in 2010 under the guidance of Blossom Mendonca. She has worked as a music teacher at Fazlani La Acadamie Globale, an IB school; accompanied the adult choir at the Mehli Mehta Music Foundation; and sung in the Living Voices choir. She passed her Grade 6 A.B.R.S.M. violin exam in 2010 with a high distinction, and won the A.B.R.S.M. Best Candidate from Mumbai Award. She has also played the violin in the Bombay Chamber Orchestra (BCO) and the Indian National Youth Orchestra (INYO). Alphonso is currently pursuing graduation in Arts.
The programme will include works by Beethoven, Brahms, Holbrooke, Kapustin, Schutt and Turina.
