King (Nagarjuna) is from a royal dynasty in Coimbatore, who has a death threat from his squabbling brothers-in-law who want a share in the property. He gets killed when he visits Dehradun. Meanwhile Bottu Seenu, a local gangster falls in love with a singer Sravani (Trisha) but knows that he is out of her league. So he disguises himself as an engineer to win her affections. Bottu’s uncanny resemblance to King raises some questions that only time can answer.
