Eight citizens of Mumbai pour their heart out to the audience. A slice of their lives are served on a platter: pain, joy, memories, hopes, fears, desires, sorrows, ambitions, love…. The characters are strung together by a series of monologues, which tap into their lives—both personal and public—in Mumbai, a city bursting with over 20 million people. The play brings to the fore the city’s chronic malaise of struggle and survival; disillusionment and distress;and corruption and chaos.
