After a disastrous shipwreck in the tropical ocean, two men and a woman find themselves adrift on a life-raft, with little hope of rescue. The three of them are subject to intense sun and heat, severe dehydration and hunger, and are also in constant danger of shark attack.

This incredible struggle against the elements takes its toll on all of them despair, panic and hallucinations begin to creep into their already precarious situation, and they begin to distrust each other. The slow unraveling madness which steals upon these characters brings this tale to its shocking conclusion.
