While dna has stood up for various causes, a special focus has been devoted to a slew of initiatives towards woman empowerment and largely the celebration of woman power.

dna ICan is a platform conceived to celebrate the spirit of achievement amongst women.
The dna ICan Women's Half Marathon is India's only Women's Half Marathon and is in its third year. We invite all the women ICanner's to break free and step into a world without boundaries.

Different races:
5 km (Fun Run: 12 years - 18 years)* - Reporting time: 7 am.
10 km (Spirit Run: 18 years and above) - Reporting time: 5:30 am.
21 km (Half Marathon: 18 years and above) - Reporting time: 5:30 am.
* Fun Run participants need to be accompanied by a guardian.

NOTE: Timing chips available on request at a nominal cost at the BIB Collection counters.
 
  • We are providing Medals to every runners.
  • BIB number distribution,collection of goodie bag and T-shit will be on March 4, 5 and 7, 2015 from 10.00 am to 6.00 am at IndiaBulls Finance Center 11th Floor, Tower 3 Elphinstone Road Mumbai.
  • Last date for on line registrations is March 6, 2015 and people who will register on March 6 have to collect the BIB number and goodie bag on March 7, 2015 only.
  • Offline registrations are open at our Indiabulls office till March 7, 2015.

  • Only women participants wearing a valid Bib Number will be allowed in the holding area and on the route.
  • Only women above the age of 18 years will be allowed to run the Half Marathon (21K) and the Spirit Run (10K).
  • Girls between the age of 12 years and 18 years can participate only in the Fun Run (5K).
  • Girls (above 12 years and below 18 years) have to be accompanied throughout the race duration with their parent or guardian.
  • The parent or guardian can only be a woman.
  • Friends and Family members accompanying the participants will always have to be in the designated Guest Area at all times. On the route, they can cheer the runners without obstructing the race route.
  • The applicant has to run only the race for which she has registered and the entry for which she has been confirmed.
  • Confirmed participants cannot cancel their entry under any circumstances and no refund will be provided.
  • Participants are requested to reach the holding area on or before the reporting time.
  • Parking will not be available very close to the holding area and on the route. Participants` vehicles might have to be parked at a distance away from the venue. Organizers will not be responsible for parking arrangements. Any parked vehicle obstructing the race route and access to holding area will be towed away.
  • Organizers may validate the information provided by the confirmed participants. The validation may be done through a validating agency appointed by the organizers.
  • The right to participate in the event and the rights and benefits available to the applicants under the application form is at the sole discretion of DNA and cannot be transferred to any other person under any circumstances and the applicant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising hereunder.
  • The participants` number is not transferable and she has to run in the category for which she has been confirmed and has to carry a valid Running Bib number.
  • Runners found to be running with the wrong Running Bib numbers will be disqualified from this race and any future race conducted by the organizers.
  • The Organizer reserves the right to disqualify and/or exclude any person from future competitions who gives incorrect personal data/details on the entry form, who has been banned from competitions under IAAF jurisdiction, or who is suspected of having taken banned substances, or who has finished within prize money positions but failed to declare that, as they have not followed the complete course. No refund of entry fee will be made.
  • Wheeled vehicles and pet animals are NOT allowed on the course. Anyone bringing wheeled vehicles and animals will be disqualified from the race and will be asked to leave the course.
  • Participants are not allowed to run with babies or children who are under-age for the designated race category, and with unregistered runners.
  • The roads will be closed to vehicular traffic till 11 am only. Participants are requested to complete their run before 11 am. After 11 am the roads will open to vehicular traffic and slow runners are recommended to run on the footpath and complete the race.
  • Every participant must wear her running Bib number on the front of the vest worn. The Bib number should be clearly visible at any time. Any mutilation, fold, alteration or damage to the Bib will amount to disqualification of the runner from the Event.
  • Only the Top 5 positions in the Half Marathon (21k) and Top 3 positions in the Spirit Run (10K) will be eligible for the Prize Money.
  • Refreshments will be provided to the participants only after they complete the race.
  • Organizers reserve the right to stop any participant from participating if she is found to be medically unfit to continue in the opinion of the Medical Expert.
  • No Baggage counters are available. For security reasons, participants are requested to come without any baggage. Organizers are not responsible for any loss of baggage and belongings.
  • Participants are requested to cooperate with the police and security personnel and crew deputed at the Holding area and on the route. Participants/supporters are liable to random checking on the race day - this is for one`s own security.
  • Photographs taken of runners during the Bib Collection Day and on Race Day will be used for the purpose of promoting the event.

    Participation Guidelines and Regulations:
  • Only women runners can participate in any of the run types.
  • Entry for Half Marathon (21.097 Kms) and the Spirit Run (10 Kms) is open only for women above the age of 18 years.
  • Entry for the Fun Run (5 Kms) is open for female minors above the age of 12 years.
  • Female Minors (age 12 years to 18 years) participating in the marathon have to be accompanied throughout the run with their respective parent or guardian.
  • The parent or guardian can only be a woman.
  • Only one applicant can apply for participation using a single form. In case a form is being submitted for a Minor (above 12 years and below 18 years), the Parent/Guardian should also register themselves for the race through a separate form.
  • Applicant should register only for one type of run. If she submits for more than one run type, it may lead to rejection of entry.
  • Applicants must submit their entries only via the Application Modes mentioned by DNA. There are no other individuals or groups who have been authorized to accept registrations, unless otherwise mentioned and authorized by DNA.
  • All information prefixed with * is mandatory and has to be filled. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.
  • The form has to be submitted with the full fee i.e. INR 600 per person. The online registration fees payment can be done using a credit / debit card via a secured payment gateway.
  • Participant has to acknowledge the Declaration and Waiver for her registration to be accepted.
  • Group Registrations / Corporate Bookings can be done using the online registration mode. Once online registration is done, a physical form of the same needs to be duly filled by each participant and submitted at dna office: Indiabulls Finance Centre - Tower-3, 11th Floor, Elphinstone Road (W), Mumbai - 400013 between 10 am to 6 pm on Monday - Friday or an excel sheet with all the updated details of all the runners would have to be emailed.
  • The final authority to accept / reject entries rest with DNA and organizers.
  • Confirmation email, BIB collection and event updates will be communicated on your registered email ID as mentioned during registration process. In case of invalid or incomplete email IDs, organizers will not be responsible for any delay or non receipt of confirmation email. In case if you fail to receive your confirmation email by March 5, 2014, request to please check your participation status by sending an email to marathon@dnaindia.net
  • Once registered, a participant cannot cancel her entry. The registration fees will not be refunded as part of the proceeds will be donated to the NGO.
  • Entries are non transferable in any manner.
  • Only participants with their valid BIB are qualified for the marathon.
  • Organizers may validate the information provided by the confirmed participants. The validation may be done through a validating agency appointed by the organizers.

  • Marathon Bib Collection details:
  • Confirmed participants have to collect their marathon Bib from the Bib Collection Centre in the first week of March as communicated in the confirmation mail.
  • Marathon Bib will not be delivered or sent or couriered to the mailing address or any other address. The same has to be collected in person.
  • In case the participant is unable to personally collect her Bib, she needs to provide the following documents as below to the authorized representative collecting the Bib on behalf of the participant: A. Print out of the confirmation letter emailed to the participant. B. Authorization letter signed by the confirmed participant. C. Copy of any Photo ID Proof (of the confirmed participant), e.g. Passport / PAN card / Election card/ Aadhar Card/ Driving license or Ration card, etc.
  • Confirmed Participants travelling from overseas or other states can collect their marathon Bib directly from DNA before March 8, 2015. A Communication for the same has to be sent by the participant via email to marathon@dnaindia.net before March 5, 2014. Such participants have to also carry the special confirmation mail to this regards received by DNA along with other documents as required.
  • The right to participate in the event and the rights and benefits available to the applicant under the application form is at the sole discretion of DNA and cannot be transferred to any other person under any circumstances, and the applicant alone shall be entitled to the rights and benefits arising hereunder.

  • Race Day Rules and Regulations:
  • The participant`s entry and marathon Bib number are not transferable.
  • The participant will need to run in the run type as registered for and carry a valid Marathon Bib number for the run.
  • Only Participants with valid Bib ID belonging to the respective participant are qualified for the marathon.
  • The Organizers reserve the right to disqualify and/or exclude any person from future competitions who provide incorrect personal data/details on the entry form or who has been banned from competition under IAAF jurisdiction or who are suspected of having taken banned substances or who have completed the run within prize money positions but failed to declare that they have not followed the complete course. No refund of entry fee will be made in such cases.
  • No wheeled vehicles (not applicable to the Wheelchair Event) and pet animals are allowed on the course. This may lead to disqualification for the marathon run.

  • Declaration and Waiver:

  • I have fully understood the risk and responsibility of participating in the DNA I Can Women`s Half Marathon or any event outlined in this application (collectively `the event`) and will be participating entirely at my and/or her risk and responsibility.
  • I understand the risk of participating on a course with vehicular traffic, even if the course may be regulated/ policed.
  • I understand that l and/or my ward must be of, and must train to, an appropriate level of fitness to participate in such a physically demanding event and l/we have obtained a medical clearance from a registered medical practitioner, allowing me to participate in the event/s.
  • I for myself and/or my ward and my legal representatives, waive all claims of whatsoever nature against any and all Sponsors/partners of the/any event, Mumbai City, venue authorities, all political entities, authorities and officials, all contractors and construction firms working on or near the course, all DNA employees, officials and volunteers/crew/promoters, medical/health professionals, Organizers and all other persons and entities associated with the event and the directors, employees, agents and representatives of all or any of the aforementioned including, but not limited to, any claims that might result from my participation in the event and whether on account of illness, injury, death or otherwise.
  • I agree that if I am and/or my ward is injured or taken ill or otherwise suffer any detriment whatsoever, I hereby irrevocably authorize the event officials and organizers to, at my risk and cost, transport me and/or my ward to a medical facility and/or to administer emergency medical treatment and l and/or my ward waive all claims that might result from such transport and/or treatment or delay or deficiency therein. I shall pay or reimburse to you my and/or my ward`s medical and emergency expenses and l hereby authorize/s you to incur the same.
  • I shall provide to race officials and organizers such medical data relating to me and/or my ward as they may request. I and/or my ward agree that nothing herein shall oblige the event officials or organizers or any other person to incur any expense or to provide any transport or treatment.
  • In case of any illness or injury caused to me and/or my ward or death suffered by me and/or my ward due to any force majeure event including but not limited to fire, riots or other civil disturbances, earthquakes, storms, typhoons or any terrorist act, none of the sponsors/partners of the/any event or Mumbai City or any political entity or authorities and officials or any contractor or construction firms working on or near the course, or any of the DNA employees, officials or volunteers or medical/health professionals, organizers or any persons or entities associated with the event or the directors, employees, agents or representatives of all or any of the aforementioned shall be held liable by me or my representatives.
  • In case after registration if you are not able to participate in the Marathon, no refunds would be given as part of the proceeds would be donated for charity
  • I understand, agree and irrevocably permit Event Organizers and DNA to share the information given by me and/or my ward in the event`s Entry Form, with all/any entities associated with the DNA Women`s Half Marathon at their own discretion.
  • I understand, agree and irrevocably permit event organizers, DNA and/or any sponsors/partners to use my and/or my ward`s photograph, photographed on the Race Day, for the sole purpose of promoting the DNA Women`s Half Marathon, at its own discretion.
