Thanks to your continued support and feedback, 2011 was a hugely successful year for us. We begin 2012 with something that is extremely close to our hearts, making entertainment accessible to as many people as we can. For those who aren't as fortunate to afford the joy of watching a movie, a play or a concert, we have made a special donation on behalf of all our clients to the NGO, The Akanksha Foundation, that specializes in educating underprivileged children. BookMyShow will soon start a small fund to collect money for this cause and invite children to enjoy movies.

The Indian GP (Formula 1), undoubtedly the biggest achievement for India and for BookMyShow, added to our wide range of sporting events like the Champions League, the Indian Premiere League with the Playoffs (Semis and Final), the FIFA - Argentina Vs. Venezuela international football match and the Aircel Chennai Open. Others include Sunburn Goa 2011, NH7, AVICII, & the drive-in Moonlight theatre. We also presented our first very own play production with many more lined up in this coming year.
Working closely with various partners, we've strived to bring to you the very best offers like the Buy One Get One Free offers running across the year. Through VISA Red Carpet Nights, Visa's customers got the unique opportunity to enjoy the biggest releases of the year, absolutely complimentary.

Our new app on the Mango platform for Windows Phone 7 owners. We have also upgraded the already existing Android & iPhone apps with the "near me" functionality based on geolocation. We're also bringing a fresh new look to our events page, a helpful search functionality and lots more events and plays for you to choose from.
