Ancient palaces attributed to Raja Suchet Singh:
Ramnagar Palace was built by Raja Suchet Singh, according to history who died in 1844 and is located at an altitude of 828 meters or 2,716 feet above sea level. Surrounded by scenic landscapes, and forested area it is a massive structure where few rooms are enclosed by high walls and a watch tower. The main attractions of the palace are its wooden ceilings and walls that display exquisite stucco work and have floral patterns painted on them. The palace comprises two courtyards, and The Darbar Hall, Sheesh Mahal and Rang Mahal can be seen towards the left side of the entrance. The Sheesh Mahal is famous for its fine glass work arranged in various patterns and designs and lithographs. The timings of the Ramnagar palace is from 6 am to 6 pm and the entry fee charged is INR 25 for Indians and INR 300 for foreign nationals.
