Excavated Site:
The Excavated Site in Kumhrar is situated in Patna and is well-known for being the excavation site where the remains of the ancient city of Pataliputra were discovered. The remains are from the Mauryan period dating around 322-185 BC.The main attractions of the site are King Ashoka`s assembly hall that was supposed to have 80 pillars. The excavated site in Kumhrar is situated quite close to the Patna Railway Station at a distance of about 5 km. The entry fees charged to visit the excavated site is INR 5 for Indian citizens and INR 100 from foreign tourists.
