Excavated Site:
The Excavated Site in Kumhrar is situated in Patna and is well-known for being the excavation site where the remains of the ancient city of Pataliputra were discovered. The remains are from the Mauryan period dating around 322-185 BC.The main attractions of the site are King Ashoka’s assembly hall that was supposed to have 80 pillars. The excavated site in Kumhrar is situated quite close to the Patna Railway Station at a distance of about 5 km. The entry fees charged to visit the excavated site is INR 5 for Indian citizens and INR 100 from foreign tourists.
