The Khajuraho Group of Monuments in Madhya Pradesh were built during the Chandela rule from the 9th to the 11th Century. The temples are known for their exquisite carvings and maginificent architecture and are truly one of the most treasured Indian heritages. The detailing in the carvings often leave spectators in awe of the architectural finesse observed here. The Monuments house both Hindu and Jain temples while the carvings celebrate the life in those times as well as eroticism. Light and Sound Show as well as Guided Tours offer rich insights into the glorious history of the period.
