Situated in Madhya Pradesh, Hoshang Shah`s Tomb is famous for being first Indian tomb made of marble. It was constructed in 15th century to honour one of first notable rulers in the Indian history. It is believed that Shah Jahan was quite impressed by the beauty of the tomb that he sent four of his architects before the construction of Taj Mahal. Not only, it was Hoshang Shah`s Tomb that inspired the architectural design and patterns of Taj Mahal but Ustad Hamid, the main architect of Hoshang Shah`s Tomb, was also associated with the construction and mapping of Taj Mahal.

Hoshang Khan, also known as Alp Khan, was crowned as the first Islamic ruler of Malwa region of Central India. He was formally appointed as the governor of Malwa, but later became an independent of the Delhi Sultanate in 1401 aas the first king of Malwa.
