Mehtab Bagh

Mehtab Bagh

Mehtab Bagh | 20 Onwards

Mehtab Bagh, which translates to Moonlight Garden, is a `charbagh complex`, is the last of eleven gardens, built by several Mughal Emperors, covering the stretch from Agra Fort to Taj Mahal along the banks of Yamuna River. Starting Emperor Babur built Ram Bagh, Shah Jahan planned the eleventh and the last one of them. This garden complex is perfectly aligned with the Taj Mahal, which makes it a perfect location for viewing the great Taj Mahal. The Mughal Emperor credited the Bagh as Mehtab Bagh – ` a moonlit pleasure garden`, making the iconic monument look spectacular in the moonlight.
The Bagh can be visited while visiting the Taj Mahal, on all the days of the week, between 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
