Muvarkoil | 20 Onwards

Muvarkoil, also called as Muvar Koil, literally means ‘Three Temple’ in Tamil language. Muvar Koil is a major tourist attraction Hindu pilgrim center, situated 36 KM away from Pudukkottai, Tamil Nadu. It holds an importance place in Hindu mythology as it is, according to religious scriptures, a site of a deadly battle between the Pandyas and Pallavas.

Muvarkoil Temple were constructed by the Chola feudatory and Irukkuvel Chieftain, who built one for himself and other two for his two wives, namely Karral and Nangai Varaguna Perumanar.
