Roopmati Pavilion, Bhopal
Adorned for the legendary tragic love story of Sultan Baz Bahadur and Rani Roopmati, Roopmati Pavilion is one of the most visited monument in the historical city of Mandu, Madhya Pradesh. Mounted on a hilltop in 11th century, the pavilion was built for Rani Roopmati, with a view of the place of her husband and the King of Malwa, Baz Bahadur.

Roopmati Pavilion History
The Sultan of Malwa Baz Bahadur, for his passion for music, fell in love with a Hindu singer named Roopmati, who later came to become Rani Roopmati, Queen of Malwa.
The tale associated with the monument is that the Rani Roopmati was widely known for her musical voice and her beauty, which prompted Adham Khan to conquer Mandu. After Sultan Baz Bahadur was defeated in the war, Rani Roopmati commited suicide, making her existence.
