Sheikh Chilli Tomb
The mortals remain of the spiritual teacher of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan`s eldest son Dara Shikoh Sheikh Chilli lies in the Mughal Mausoleum, situated in Thanesar, Haryana, near Kurukshetra. The Makabara was made in the honour of the great teacher of the Mughal Dynasty. Built with buff standstone, the tomb is a pear-shaped dome of white marble, under which lies the saint`s cenotaph.

The winter season can prove an appropriate time to enjoy a pleasant trip to the tomb as it is quite cool at that time of the year.

The tomb can be explored on all days of the week except Friday, between 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
