Sher Shah`s Tomb | 20 Onwards

 Located in the Sasaram town of Bihar state, India, the tomb of Sher Shah Suri was built in memory of Emperor Sher Shah Suri, a Pathan who fought the Mughal Empire, emerged victorious and subsequently founded the Suri Empire in Northern India. Set in the middle of a lake Sher Shah’s tomb is constructed like a Mughal garden tombs. The tomb is a structure of stone rises from a large stone terrace which rests obliquely on a platform with a flight of steps that lead to the water’s edge. The only approach to the tomb is the doorway in the east. The upper terrace has a battlemented parapet wall enclosing it with octagonal domed chambers at four corners and two small projecting pillared balconies on each of its four sides. The tomb is perched on a stone platform with steps descending into the water on all four sides.

The opening time for Sher Shah’s Tomb is 6 am and closing Time is 6 pm. The entry fees charged is INR 25 for Indian citizens and INR 300 for foreign nationals.
