Sahet -Mahet is the collection of ruins in what was once the ancient city of Shravasti. A historical landmark for Buddhism and Jainism alike. Divided into two distinct groups of ruins, Sahet is the site of the famous Buddhist monastery known as Jetvahana Vihar, which was situated outside the main city. While Mahet represents the city of Shravasti. Sahet is also known for being the foundation of Buddhist monasteries and stupas.
