Abu Salim is an Indian actor working in regional language films and has acted in more than 151 Malayalam movies. His debut film was Rajan Pranaja Kadha (1978) followed by Aayushkalam (1992), Cabinet (1994), Indraprastham (1996) and Pallavur Devanarayanan (1999). He subsequently appeared in films like Darling Darling (2000), Mizhi Randilum (2003), Bus Conductor (2005), Kaiyoppu (2007) and Parunthu (2008). Later on, Abu did movies such Brahmasthram (2010), Manushyamrugam (2011), Kamaal Dhamaal Malamaal (2012), Kutteem Kolum (2013) and RajadhiRaja (2014), and Ivan Maryadharaman (2015). In 2017, he will be seen in the Malayalam language film Puthan Panam and the horror thriller Pretham Undu Sookshikkuka. He is associated with the 2018 Malayalam movie Lolans directed by Salim Baba, starring opposite S. P. Sreekumar, Indrans and Sunil Sukhada. His 2019 releases include Ganagandharvan and Oru Kadathanadan Katha.
