Ali Zafar is a music composer, singer-songwriter, painter and actor. Before making his way into Bollywood, he was a singer. His career began with the song Jugnuon Se Bhar Le Aanchal. Zafar gained instant fame with his first single Channo, from the album Huqa Pani that sold over five million copies worldwide. He made his acting debut with the film Tere Bin Laden (2010), which earned him a Filmfare nomination for Best Debut. He then appeared in Luv Ka The End (2011), in a brief role and received his second commercial success with his next release, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011). Zafar starred in a number of commercially successful films like London, Paris, New York (2012), Chashme Baddoor (2013) and Total Siyapaa (2014). He has many awards to his name, including three Lux Style Awards, three Indus Music Awards, three MTV Style Awards and one Stardust Award. In 2012, Zafar was awarded by Dadasaheb Phalke Academy Awards in India. Last seen in Kill Dil (2014), Tere Bin Laden : Dead or Alive (2016) and Dear Zindagi (2016).

In 2018, he appeared alongside Javed Sheikh and Maya Ali in Ahsan Rahim's Hindi action comedy romance Teefa In Trouble.
