BIOGRAPHY

Entering the industry in 1954 with Peddamanushulu, Datla Venkata Narasaraju was an Indian writer, director and playwright. He worked mainly in the Telugu film industry, with infrequent works in the Tamil and Hindi languages. It was prominent writer-director, K. V. Reddy who, after watching Narasa Raju's play "Natakam", introduced him to the film industry. Since then, as a writer, Narasa Raju went on to work on movies like Donga Ramudu (1955), Raja Makutam (1959), Gundamma Katha (1962), Ramudu Bheemudu (1964), Rangula Ratnam (1966), Grihalakshmi (1967), Bhakta Prahlada (1967), Bhakta Prahlada (1967), Mooga Nomu (1969), Alibaba 40 Dongalu (1970), Yamagola (1975), Yugandhar (1979), Vayyari Bhamulu Vagalamari Bhartulu (1982), and Manasu Mamata (1990). He also worked on Hindi movies like Man-Mauji (1962) and Ram Aur Shyam (1967). In his whole career Narasa Raju wrote and directed only the 1986 movie, Karu Diddina Kapuram. Narasa Raju passed away in 2006.
