Most popular for being the dialogue writer for the unconventional film Lipstick Under My Burkha (2016), that made waves in the industry, Gazal Dhaliwal is a screenwriter who started off working as a Software Engineer until she quit her job in 2005, to pursue her passion of screenwriting. Initially assisting Govind Nihalani, she wrote the dialogues for Wazir in 2016. After her stint in Wazir, she was associated with Lipstick Under My Burkha. Since then she has acted as a screenwriter Qarib Qarib Singlle (2017), a short film A Monsoon Date (2018), before doing the screenplay and dialogue for Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga (2019).
