A part of all the major South Indian industries, Joshua Sridhar is an Indian music composer who debuted in 2004 with the Tamil romantic drama tragedy Kaadhal, winning Filmfare Award nomination for his work. Before stepping into the film industry, Joshua studied at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's Rajaji Vidyashram in Chennai, following which he went on to study Western Classical Music for two years. Further, he studied 8 Grades in Theory of Music and Piano from Trinity College in London.

He started by arranging and programming music for gospel albums and jingles, and made his foray into the film industry in 1996 as a keyboard player/programmer up until 2004. His debut as a composer came with Kaadhal in 2004, following which he composed the music of several Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada movies. Among his movie credits Uyir, Keerthi Chakra, Love Guru, Gaana Bajaana, Veppam, Googly, Vellaiya Irukiravan Poi Solla Maatan, and Orange. His 2018 release includes Oru Kuppai Kathai.
