BIOGRAPHY

A Tamil writer, Kabilan Vairamuthu published his first book of poems at the age 18. Ever since then, he has written five poetry collections, a short story collection, and three novels. Apart from being a recognized writer, he is also a qualified engineer, who, after completing his graduation, went on to study Masters in Communication for Social Change from the University of Queensland, Australia. Upon returning to India after his course, he worked as an executive producer in the Tamil television industry for over three years. However, he soon followed his father Vairamuthu's footsteps and pursued his career as a lyricist. Among his movie credits are Udhayam NH4, Poriyaalan, Jeeva, Anegan, Aayirathil Iruvar, and Peigal Jaakkirathai. In 2017, he not only wrote the lyrics of the Ajith Kumar-starrer spy thriller Vivegam but was also credited for writing its screenplay.
