Karsh Kale is an American composer, songwriter, live performer and DJ who mostly dabbles in electronic fusion, paving a way for a new genre of music. Born in India but brought up in America, he was exposed to music at the tender age of 5. His stellar music career is studded with iconic musical stars like Alicia Keys, Zakir Hussain, Ravi Shankar, Chaka Khan, Nora Jones and Kirk Douglas, and even Sting. Karsh made his debut in Bollywood as a playback singer with the film Kambakkt Ishq in 2009, starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor in lead roles. Apart from this, his other notable work includes Karthik Calling Karthik (2010), and Dum Maaro Dum (2011). He also composed the music for the television series Smoke (2018), and The Final Call (2019). As of 2019, Karsh is associated with Gully Boy.
