With over 450 movies to his acting credit, Mamukkoya is a Malayalam film actor, who is best remembered for his comedic roles. Before making his movie debut, Mamukkoya was a part of theater and actively performed in a number of plays. He made his movie debut in 1979 with the movie Anyarude Bhoomi, following which he was cast in movies like Doore Doore Oru Koodu Koottam, Gandhinagar Second Street, Nadodikkattu, Perumazhakkalam, Innathe Chintha Vishayam, and Onpatham Valavinappuram among many others.

For his performance in the 2008 film Innathe Chintha Vishayam, he won the Kerala State Film Award and Jaihind TV Award, both for Best Comedy Artist. He also received the Kerala State Film Award (Special Jury Award) for director Kamal`s Perumazhakkalam (2004). He was also part of the award winning commercially successful 2012 drama Ustad Hotel, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead roles. He also featured in a supporting role in the Mohanlal starrer crime thriller Oppam, under the direction of Priyadarshan. His 2017 venture includes the comedy Hello Dubaikkaran, under the direction of Baburaj Harisri and Harisree Yousuf, starring Adil Ibrahim, Malavika Menon and Devan in the lead roles.

In 2018, he appeared alongside Kalabhavan Shajon and Jayan Cherthala in Sumeesh Ramakrishnan`s Malayalam family comedy Kaitholachathan and Madhaveeyam. His 2019 releases include Oronnonnara Pranayakadha, Mask and Kakshi Amminippilla.
