Hailing from a music background, Rupankar Bagchi started giving musical stage performances at the tender age of eleven. He sung many songs in Bengali films like Chalo Let`s Go (2008), Baishe Srabon (2011), Aparajita Tumi (2012), Hemlock society (2012), Dutta Vs Dutta (2012), and Jaatishwar (2014), among others which became immensely popular with the audience, before he lent his genius to E Tumi Kemon Tumi (2018). It was not long before his work was noticed, making him the recipient of the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer in 2014 for his song "E Tumi Kemon Tumi" from Jaatishwar. He also bagged the Uttam Kumar Award in 2006 for his work. Apart from singing, Bagchi has also acted in a few movies like, Ashchorjyo Prodeep (2013), Aam Sutra (2018) and Bidaay Byomkesh (2018). His 2019 release includes 17th September, directed by Amitava Bhattacharya.
