A pilot by profession and actor by choice, Thakur Anoop Singh became a household name with his portrayal of Dhritarashtra in the epic mythology Mahabharat. However, in 2015, Anoop participated in the Fit Factor Body Expo - Mr. India, winning the silver medal, following which he won a bronze medal for India at the Asian Championship in the category of Men`s Fitness Physique. It was at the 7th WBPF World Bodybuilding Championships that he won a gold medal, making him the first Indian athlete to win it. Post this, Anoop bagged a role in the Suriya and Anushka Shetty-starrer Singam 3 in 2017. Following his debut, Anoop also was cast in movies like the Marathi movie Bebhan, Telugu movies Rogue and Winner, and the Hindi language movie Commando 2, all of which release in 2017. His 2019 release includes Yajamana.
