BIOGRAPHY

Vandemataram Srinivas is an Indian music director, playback singer and actor who is best known for his work in the Telugu film industry. A two-time winner of the Filmfare Awards (South) and a five-time winner of the Nandi Award, he made his debut as a composer with the 1985 Telugu film Vande Mataram. Since then, he has worked in over 50 films as a music director, playback singer and actor. Significant film credits include Orey Rickshaw (1995), Osey Ramulamma (1997), Swayamvaram (1999) and Devullu (2001). Srinivas has the rare distinction of winning both the Nandi Awards and the Filmfare Awards (South) in two different categories - Best Music Director and Best Playback Singer. Other notable film credits include Tholi Valapu (2001), Parama Veera Chakra (2011), Manushulatho Jagratha (2013), Dandakaaranyam (2016), Idho Prema Lokam (2017), Kadapa Simham (2017) and Pranam Khareedu (2019). His 2020 release includes Arjuna.
