Esperanza, a Spanish word, which means Hope signifies that it is the hope which drives the world. This show, presented by IndraDhanush Theater group, portrays how hope helps us put our endeavours to make our lives better. To overcome the innumerous obstacles on the way, hope will continue to give one a power to overcome those.
This show is a vivid collection of 4 short plays and in each play hope stands out to be the winner. Stories revolve around victims of Bhopal gas tragedy, LGBT identities, Freedom of speech and expression, and the newly launched GST taxation system in India. The show has taken a comic and satirical approach to each and every subject.
However, in the end core objective is to motivate the spectators to believe in hope and wait for that light at the end of the tunnel. Through this show if we are able to re-ignite the spark even in one person who can hold the thread of hope tightly, we would believe that we have succeeded.
