Some of our current Bollywood actors had proved their acting prowess years ago when they were children. From Hrithik Roshan to Bobby Deol, we didn’t recognize many Bollywood actors in their childhood.

Thus, here are 10 Bollywood actors whom you didn’t know have appeared in films as children:

1. Hrithik Roshan – Bhagwaan Dada

In this film, Hrithik worked with his father and superstar Rajinikanth. The film also starred actors like Tina Munim, Paresh Rawal, Danny etc.


2. Boby Deol (Dharam Veer)

Bobby Deol played the role of Dharmendra‘s childhood in Dharmaveer. Set in a mythical place, Manmohan Desai’s cult classic exploited the story of siblings that get separated at birth.


3. Aamir Khan– Yaadon Ki Baaraat

The 1973 film saw Aamir Khan play the role of young Tariq Khan. The film was directed and produced by Aamir’s uncle Naseer Hussain.

4. Shashi Kapoor – Tabeer, Aag, Sangam

Shashi Kapoor started acting in films with his father and brother since childhood. He was notorious for playing the roles of a young Raj Kapoor in films.


5. Rishi Kapoor – Mera Naam Joker

Mera Naam Joker marked the acting debut of Rishi Kapoor, the youngest of the Kapoor brothers of his generation.

6. Kunal Khemu– Sir, Hum Hain Rahi
Pyar Ke, Raja Hindustani

Kunal Khemu is probably the only actor in this list who became a recognizable star before hitting puberty.


7. Aftab Shivdasani – Mr. India

Before there was Kunal Khemu, there was Aftab. From Mr. India to Shehenshah, Aftab had made his mark in the minds and hearts of ’80s India.


8. Ajay Devgn – Pyari Behna


In this 1985 film, Ajay Devgn plays the role of Mithun Chakraborty’s childhood.

9. Hansika Motwani – Koi Mil Gaya


Hansika Motwani was the next child actor in line to becoming a star upon growing up. From TV shows like Shaka Laka Boom Boom, Hansika moved on to films and never really looked back.

10. Shweta Basu Prasad

Sveta got the National Film Award For Best Child Artist for the first film “Makdee”. She is now associated with the show Chandra Nandini as its lead cast. She was also last seen in the film Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya.


Call it luck or their hard work, these child actors managed to sustain their acting skills for a very, very long time.
