Professionally these people are directors but who doesn’t like a little on-camera show sometimes? Directors appearing in their own movies is a trend Bollywood has been witnessing for a long time but mostly they go unnoticed by the audience.

Here’s a list of Bollywood’s ace directors who made a cameo in their own movies!

1) Prakash Jha

Prakash is a director who is mostly known for his political understanding and most of his movies revolve around the same. The director also made a cameo in his movie ‘Satyagraha’. He says it was an instinctive decision to feature in the scene.

2) Siddharth Anand

Director of Salmaan Namaste made an appearance in his own movie as he played the character of a Punjabi taxi driver to Preity Zinta during the climax sequence. He also made a cameo in ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno‘ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone.

Karan has made cameos in a lot of movies but the one time when he appeared on camera during his own movie was ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna‘ as a passenger on the train in which Shahrukh Khan is traveling.

Ayan made a cameo not once but twice in his movie ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani‘ starring Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone. He played one of the wedding guests and was spotted in the song ‘Badtameez Dil’ pouring drinks. In his second appearance, he is spotted sitting next to Ranbir Kapoor who is singing ‘Kabhie Kabhie Mere Dil Mein’.

We all know Prabhu has got the moves like Jagger and he does not miss out on any opportunity to show us his brilliant talent. He is often seen shaking a leg in his cameo roles in movies like ‘Rowdy Rathore‘, ‘Action Jackson‘ and ‘Singh is Bling‘.

Kunal made a cameo in ‘Raja Natwarlal‘ playing the character of a passerby in the mall whose wallet is picked by Emraan Hashmi. However, Kunal did not intend to make an appearance but when the junior artist did not turn up and the shoot was getting delayed, he decided to take this impromptu decision.
