1. Mad Max: Fury Road

Starring Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, this film is set in a post-apocalyptic wasteland, where a woman in search of her homeland rebels against a tyrannical ruler with the help of a group of female prisoners, a psychotic worshiper, and a drifter named Max.

2. Wonder Woman

Starring Gal Gadot in the lead alongside Chris Pine, this film tells the story of Diana, an Amazonian warrior in training, who leaves home to fight a war after a pilot tells her of the conflict in the outside world. Thus, she discovers her full powers and true destiny.

3. Jallikattu

This Lijo Jose Pellissery film is a portrait of a remote village where a buffalo escapes and causes a frenzy of ecstatic violence. The film stars Antony Varghese, Chemban Vinod Jose, and others in prominent roles.

4. Avengers: Endgame

Directed by the Russo Brothers, this film is set in the years after the devastating events of Avengers: Infinity War. With the help of remaining allies, the Avengers assemble once more in order to reverse Thanos’ actions and restore balance to the universe.

5. K.G.F: Chapter 1

Starring Yash in the lead role, this Kannada film follows a fierce rebel who rises against the brutal oppression of the 1970s and becomes the symbol of hope to the legions of downtrodden people. Srinidhi Shetty and Ramachandra Raju also star in prominent roles.

6. Asuran

Directed by Vetrimaaran, this Tamil film begins with the murder of a rich, upper-caste landlord by the teenage son of a farmer from an underprivileged caste. The rest of the film follows the attempts of the farmer – a loving father and a pacifist by heart – to save his son.

7. John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum

The third installment of the John Wick series starring Keanu Reeves follows John Wick on the run after he kills a member of the international assassins’ guild. With a $14 million price tag on his head, he is the target of assassins everywhere.

8. Darbar 

Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, this Rajinikanth starrer features Thalaiva as police officer on the chase of a dreaded gangster to fulfill his own secret agenda. The film also stars Nayanthara, Nivetha Thomas, and Yogi Babu in prominent roles.

9. Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo

Starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde, this Trivikram Srinivas film follows Bantu, who after learning of his real parentage, decides to carve a place for himself within the family he truly belongs to.

10. Simmba 

This Rohit Shetty film stars Ranveer Singh as Simmba, a corrupt police officer, who enjoys all the perks of being immoral and unethical until a life-changing event forces him to choose the righteous path. Sara Ali Khan also plays a significant role in the film.

S Thaman has composed the music and background score and the album is already a runaway hit. PS Vinod heads the camera department while Prawin Pudi is the editor.
