Heist movies and series usually focus on pulling off a big caper that will make a crew of suave, badass thieves rich. Netflix’s new series Lupin reminds us of the other insanely popular Netflix show about thieves: Money Heist, but this one seems to be more of an intimate story. In Lupin, the heist is a starting point for a larger story about a man searching for the truth behind the death of his father.
The show is based on Arsène Lupin, a fictional gentleman thief and master of disguise created in 1905 in the novels of French writer Maurice Leblanc. The character has since received a manga and various anime adaptations.
Check out Omar Sy as the suave gentleman thief in the trailer for the show.

The first episode of LUPIN is so good that if there were no other episodes, I’d still be 100% satisfied. What a great start! #lupinnetflix
