Jedi and former protege Ahsoka Tano appears in The Mandalorian season two, episode five, entitled ‘The Jedi’. Ahsoka was created for the Clone Wars animated series by Dave Filoni and George Lucas. Lucas wanted a Jedi character his daughters could look up to.
Ahsoka quickly became a fan favourite character in the series. Rumours that she would appear in The Mandalorian had fans ecstatic. The character eventually made her her first live action appearance when Mando sought her aid in his quest to return Baby Yoda to his own kind.
The character is played by Rosario Dawson. While it wouldn’t be the first time an actress as well known as Dawson played a brief cameo, her enthusiasm for the character has fans hopeful. It presents an opportunity to further develop the popular character and add a strong female character to the cast of The Mandalorian, currently one of the most popular entertainment franchises.
