New images of the Stranger Things set (via The Daily Mail) have been released. The images reveal a trailer park that may have been taken over by the alternate reality known as the Upside Down. The telltale red and black vines have covered trailers, telephone poles and even the park sign. It isn’t completely clear if this place is located in Hawkins, but considering that town’s history with the Upside Down, it wouldn’t really be a surprise. Either way, these vines spell disaster for anyone in the vicinity regardless of what world they’re in.
The real question is whether or not this scene takes place within the Upside Down. The pictures could be from shots of the Upside Down scenes without the special effects applied to make it look like the alternate Hawkins. However, they could also be an indication that the Upside Down has begun to overtake the real world. We’ll have to wait for the release of Stranger Things season four to find out.
