Now that the lockdown restrictions have been a tad relaxed and stepping out has become easier, we’re sure that you’re catching up with friends over dinners and movies like you used to. Why not take it up a notch, and make the most of this brilliant weather, and head out of the city with friends for a fabulous time surrounded by nature! In case you still haven’t got it, we’re talking about camping. Here are some camping activities you should definitely check out over the weekend.
BandCamp Weekends: Live Band + Movie Screenings
Exchange the city’s hectic life for a chilled out one under a canopy of stars. Located off Gorai beach, Bandcamp offers live band performances ranging from indie to blues to retro and movie screenings at their amphitheater. If that’s not enough to entice you, there’s also a bonfire, barbecue, hammocks, games and books. Truth be told, we’d go just to curl up on the hammock with our favourite book under the starry sky.

Tropicana Bandcamp Alibaug
Work from home stressing you out? Detox with a chill weekend comprising lazy strolls by the waterfront, lolling bullock cart rides or horse riding for the adventurous, indulge in local cuisine and live barbecue, play games, read, spend time with your loved ones, or simply lay under the stars and make up constellations.

Pawna Lake Camping – Adventure Geek
Located near what was once every Mumbaikars’ favourite weekend getaway, Lonavala, Pawna Lake gives you bang for the buck when it comes to scenic beauty. We’re talking gorgeous blue water, the imposing Sahayadri range cradled against it, lush green hillocks – you couldn’t conjure up a better place for a lakeside camp. Add to that campfire, games, live music under the stars and moonlit walks; just what you need for a chill weekend.

Bhatakna – Igatpuri Lakeside Camping and Watersports
Consider yourself a water baby who loves adventure? Then this one’s tailor-made for you. Set camp by the Maruti Wadi Lake, which also doubles up as a water sports center, in Igtapuri. Indulge in rafting, kayaking, body surfing or just swimming lazy laps. There’s also bonfire, games (including classic board games), karaoke, and of course, food. Also, how can we forget, starry skies, romantic night strolls and the whole living in the tent experience!
