Since 2008, November 11 is celebrated as National Education Day across the country to commemorate the birth anniversary of India’s first Education Minister, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad. A strong advocate for the education of women, Azad played an integral role in the architecture of modern educational structures such as the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), University Grants Commission (UGC), Sangeet Natak Academy and Sahitya Academy.

Let’s honour the legacy of India’s Bharat Ratna on his birth anniversary by picking up a skill or learning something new while we’re stuck indoors.
