‘Desdemona Roopakam’

Even as she lay dying, Desdemona refused to name Othello as her killer. The English, Kannada and Tamil play Desdemona Roopakam uses the Shakespearean tragedy of Othello to examine why women pay a heavy price to prove their innocence.

‘Jinhe Naaz Hai’

This is an anthology of Indian playwright Abhishek Majumdar’s two Hindi plays titled Namak and Raashan. The former is an allegory about how the poor pay the price for the government’s incompetence while the latter is a commentary on the gap between socio-economic classes.

‘Jo Dooba So Par’

Travel back to the 13th century with this dastaangoi that shines a spotlight on the renowned Sufi singer, poet and scholar Amir Khusrau and his relationship with his spiritual guide Hazrat Nizamuddin Auliya.
