Renowned for making people laugh till they have tears rolling down their eyes, Bharat Jadhav is one of the most popular Marathi actors who absolutely owns the comedy genre. Whether it is his impeccable comic timing, ability to land a joke, or ease with physical comedy, he slays it every single time he’s on the screen or stage.
Jadhav, who started his acting career in 1985 with the play Maharashtrachi Lokdhara, returns to the stage with Punha Sahi Re Sahi, on Sunday, January 17. Since then, he’s gone on to play the loveable mute in All The Best, the titular gender bender in Moruchi Mavashi, the eccentric Madan Sukhamte and his loony lookalikes in Sahi Re Sahi and its sequel and the simpleton Damu possessed by his grandfather’s spirit in Shreemant Damodar Pant (pictured above).
