‘The Gentleman’s Club aka Tape’

Watch this rollicking English play set in the world of drag kings, that is, women who impersonate men. The players include Rocky aka Shamsher who channels Shammi Kapoor in a shiny jacket and JT, who pays homage to Justin Timberlake.

‘The Siddhus of Upper Juhu’

Directed by Rahul da Cunha, the English satire revolves around a middle-class couple struggling to stay sane in a city plagued with civic issues.

Where: Tata Theatre, National Center for Performing Arts, NCPA Marg, Nariman Point.

‘Accidental Death Of An Anarchist’

Directed by Ashok Pandey, this Hindi play is an adaptation of the original work by Italian playwright Dario Fo, which was loosely based on a 1969 incident involving Giuseppe Pinelli, an Italian rail worker and anarchist who died under mysterious circumstances while in police custody. The play begins with Inspector Bertozzo interrogating a fraudster who’s cleverer than he is. Seizing his chance, the fraudster wreaks havoc in the police station, putting on many disguises in order to expose corruption in the police ranks and their attempt to cover up the death.
When: Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21 at 8pm.

‘Wedding Album’

Directed by Girish Karnad, this comic drama in English revolves around a family preparing for a wedding. Hidden behind what seems like an everyday, urban family coming together to celebrate, is a whole other story of veiled suspicions, envy and frustration.
