4 Reasons Why Sarkar 3 Looks to be a Must-Watch

The trailer of Sarkar 3 begins with the dialogue Yeh aadmi tab tak nahi harega, jab tak janta uski taraf hai. The dialogue fits perfectly for Amitabh Bachchan, popularly referred as Shahenshah of Bollywood. At the age of 74, when most of his contemporaries have retired, he is still working round-the-clock and still is one of the highest paid actors. As he is ready with his latest film that releases next week, we give you a four reasons why the film promises to be the most gripping film in the Sarkar franchise.

The Brand Sarkar

The Sarkar film series is inspired by the 1972 film, The Godfather. And the iconic character of Subhash Nagre is even said to be loosely based on late Maharashtrian politician Bal Thackeray. The first film, Sarkar released in 2005 and the second, Sarkar Raj released in 2008. Both films were received well by the audience and critics. The performance of Abhishek Bachchan in Sarkar was highly praised and is considered as one of his finest. He also won the Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award for the role. Fans of the franchise are eagerly waiting for Sarkar 3. Even the ones who haven't watched the previous films will surely enjoy this as this one comes with what looks like a fresh, exciting story.

New Star Cast

The film is special in many ways. Bachchan and Jackie Shroff will be seen together after a decade. They last appeared together in Eklavya – The Royal Guard. Looking at the trailer, it seems that Yami Gautam is looking good to break away from the stereotypes and be seen in a very different avatar. Ronit Roy will be the right-hand man of Sarkar. Acting powerhouses like Manoj Bajpayee, Rohini Hattangadi and Amit Sadh who join the cast further raise expectations.

The Gripping Plot

This time the enemies of Sarkar are more in number and seem more powerful. Michael Valya (Jackie Shroff) is Sarkar's biggest adversary. Along with Michael, Sarkar also has to deal with violent and cunning politician Govind Deshpande (Manoj Bajpayee). Sarkar further has to battle personal differences with his grandson (Amit Sadh) like he had to with his son Vishnu Nagre (Kay Kay Menon) in the first film. And then there is Annu Karkare (Yami Gautam) who thinks Sarkar has killed her father and seeks revenge. Does it sound too much to handle? Well, watch the trailer here.

Finally, the Man Himself

This time Amitabh looks more dangerous than ever as Subhash Nagre. It is evident by the dialogue in the trailer, "Paiteez saal hogaye, khud, apne haathon se kisi ko maare hue. Magar ab, inhi haaton se maarunga, inhi haathon se". The actor has also sung the traditional Ganpati Aarti for the film. It will be a delight to watch the legendary actor on screen as Subash Nagre once again.
