Written and directed by Ranjit Jeyakodi, pan-Indian gangster drama ‘Michael’ features Sundeep Kishan in the titular role. The film also stars Vijay Sethupathi, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Divyansha Kaushik, Gautham Menon, Varun Sandesh, Ayyappa Sharma, Anasuya Bharadwaj in prominent roles. ‘Michael’ has been bankrolled by Bharath Chowdary and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under the Karan C Productions LLP and Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP banners, respectively.
‘Michael’ releases in cinemas worldwide on Friday, February 3 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
The film’s music and background score are composed by Sam CS, cinematography has been handled by Kiran Koushik and it has been edited by R Sathyanarayanan.
The film’s trailer opens with Gautham Menon’s character Gurunath informing Michael about the dangerous mating habits of widow spiders. He goes on to caution Michael about falling for the charms of women by stating, “Some men are destined to face only troubles because they choose to fall for the delusions of the women.” However, Michael feels that life is meaningless without love. The film then follows Michael’s bloody rampage for the sake of the woman he loves (Divyansha Kaushik).
