3 Actresses Make Kickass Comebacks in 2017

Getting a big break means nothing in Bollywood. There’s a long list of actors who disappeared after a promising debut. Some even take breaks to focus on their health or personal issues. Parineeti Chopra, in fact, didn't sign a film for two years as she wanted to work on losing weight. Even Madhuri Dixit and Kajol chose to get married and have kids when their career was at an all-time high. After making their comeback, they spaced out the releases of their movies and worked on only one project in years. Here are three actresses who have made/will be making a comeback in 2017.

Raveena TandonMaatr

This hard-hitting thriller showed how a mother takes revenge on the men who raped her daughter. Maatr was expected to be a film that would appeal to the critics but it failed to do so due to the shoddy treatment by the director.  Even with decent business at the box-office, Maatr did little for its leading lady – Raveena Tandon. We wish to see more of her, though.

Manisha KoiralaDear Maya

Dear Maya releases on June 2 alongside Hollywood biggies like Baywatch and Wonder Woman. Its chances at the box-office may seem dim but if the movie gets good reviews, you never know it might become a sleeper hit like Hindi Medium. After Dear Maya, Manisha Koirala will be seen as Nargis in Sanjay Dutt's biopic. Check this space to read the Dear Maya review on June 2.

SrideviMom

Sridevi had the most successful comeback with English Vinglish. The Gauri Shinde movie was a critical and commercial success. The actress' next film is Mom, which will hit the theaters on July 7. Mom was initially slated to release on July 14 but was brought forward by a week to avoid a clash with Haseena and Jagga Jasoos.
