Priyanka Chopra has been working on some big Hollywood projects and honestly we couldn’t be happier for PeeCee’s incredible success as a global icon. Her latest project with Rajkummar Rao is The White Tiger and it’s based on a book with the same name written by Aravind Adiga who won a Booker Prize for his work.
The trailer of the film released not too long ago and it tells the story of a young man named Balram (Adarsh Gourav) and his journey of making his way up from being a poor village boy to a chauffeur of one of the wealthiest families to then becoming a self-made entrepreneur in modern India. We will get to witness the class power struggles and corruption that penetrates deep within India as we watch Balram train himself to be a drive and by default a servant for Ashok (Rajkummar Rao) and Pinky (Priyanka Chopra) who have just returned from America.
Talking about newcomer Gourav who will be playing the role of Balram, Priyanka spoke highly about her co-star saying, “one of the most talented newcomers I’ve ever worked with, and one of the most remarkable performances I’ve seen in a long time.” Here is another teaser clip with a track called the Jungle Mantra by Divine, Vince Staples, and Pusha T
