King Kong and Godzilla have a rich cinematic history and lore that goes back decades. They are the original monsters and every time they have been on the screen, they have captured our attention. As a part of the MonsterVerse they have only become deadlier and this time they are going on a war against each other. King Kong has been kept in a secure zone on Skull Island where Dr. Ilene Andrews (Rebecca Hall) with the help of Jia (Kaylee Hottle) are trying to communicate with him. When Godzilla attacks the facilities of Apex Cybernetics leaving a lot of collateral damage, Kong is called so that he can vanquish the monster. Thus begins the epic battle, Godzilla vs Kong.
King Kong is the soul of the movie
Like a lot of monster movies, humans don’t have much to do apart from reacting to the monster battles or help them with ammunition. Kong’s journey from his home to finding another one is what forms the emotional part of the story and you can’t help but feel for the Titan. While the director makes sure that none of the Titans come off as the villain, you will find yourself rooting for Kong a little more.
The fights are a spectacle
With the CGI today, you can expect some epic detailed fights in vibrant colours. But what you will be surprised by are the jaw-dropping visuals as these Titans go head to head. Each detail is wonderfully crafted and you will feel that you have the front seat view of the fight of the century. We also get to see more of the Hollow Earth and we can promise that you will want to see more of that once the movie is over.
The children are the key
While the adults would be quick to hurt the monsters, it is the children like Madison Russell (Millie Bobby Brown) and Jia who truly understand these Titans. They are the only ones trying to find a deeper meaning behind these battles crediting the Titans with a lot of intelligence and feelings. It is truly a pleasure to see more of Millie Bobby Brown on screen.
