We have plenty of reasons to love the 2017 Wonder Woman one of them is that it’s the first female superhero movie of the 21st century and the second one is that it’s an excellent movie. The film had some breathtaking action scenes, but there wasn’t a lack of emotion. We all felt Diana’s excitement for ice cream and the loss she felt when Steve Trevor died in a plane crash. Diana Prince as Wonder Woman is back, and this time she is coming at the height of the Cold War where multiple countries were conducting experiments to be the next superpowers. The trailers have introduced us to some new characters while we got to revisit some older ones. Now you can meet them all.

Diana (Gal Gadot) is from Themyscira, and she left her home to fight Ares, the god of war, during the first world war. In Wonder Woman 1984, we see her in America working in a museum by day and fighting crime by night. We also see some flashbacks of her time in Themyscira and get to know more about her past.
Hippolyta
Hippolyta (Connie Nielsen) is Diana’s mother and the Queen of Themyscira. We will mostly see her with younger Diana teaching her to use and control her powers.
Antiope
Antiope (Robin Wright) was the former general of the Amazons and sister of Queen Hippolyta. Antiope was the greatest warrior in the Amazons’ history, and she had a huge role to play in Diana’s combat training.
Steve Trevor

During World War One, Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) was an American pilot and spy who crashed his plane in Themyscira while trying to escape from the Germans. He and Diana then had made their way to the war front in hopes of ending the war. He sacrificed his life in the process. He is back in 1984 under mysterious circumstances.
Barbara Ann Minerva aka Cheetah

Barbara (Kristen Wiig) is an archaeologist who works with Diana. She considers Diana her competitor and has high ambitions in life. Her aspirations lead her to meet Maxwell Lord, who introduces her to an element that grants her the Cheetah’s powers and slowly changes her into the animal.
